Kassandria, Kassandra, Chalkidiki Greece

Kassandria is the largest village in Kassandra and is also the capitol of the region of Kassandra. Since the 16th century Kassandria (Valta) was the center of wheat production and trade. After the destruction during the 1821 revolution, it became a fast growing community as many people from other villages that had been destroyed moved there to start over.

Kassandria, witch boundaries extend from Fourka to Sani, nowadays has about 3500 inhabitants but in summer the town, with all it's settlements, grows to a big city with

thousands of inhabitants. At a close distance from Kassandria you will find many beautiful beaches and the popular tourist village Kallithea.
